Help with Halyard pulley disassembly

The 2 pulleys on the deck of the 23.5 Hunter for the Main and Jib Halyards are needing new separator plates to keep the 2 Halyards from either getting jammed down between the pulleys or fouling each other when they derail and end up on the same pulley.

At issue is how the pin holding the pulleys can be removed ... is there a non destructive procedure to remove the pin holding the pulleys in place. There doesn't appear to be any access to this pulley assembly from inside the cabin, or hatch cover. The pin appears to only be accessible from the bow end of the assembly which would allow for easy installation but perhaps no consideration was given for removal?

Perhaps if you post a picture we could be of help. If the pin is stamped usually the best way to remove it is to drill one end out and replace with a bolt and locknut. You can find bolts in different sizes with various lengths of smooth surface and just threads at the end.

Not following your term "Stamped" ... if this pin was threaded I don't see how it would have been installed as the visible end of the pin is recessed and flat ... I will attempt some pics shortly.

Easy to Do

Remove the stainless steel mast step plate and you can push the pin right out. It is held in with just silicone.

The screws on mine would not budge before the heads stripped out ended up drilling them out I replaced them with hex head screws to make it easy to remove them next time.

Not sure how removing the mast plate is going to get me closer to the closed end of the pin ... the pin runs Bow to Stern with the closed end near the hatch toward the stern ... the mast plate has 6 phillips recessed screws. Its footprint is not in close proximity to the closed end of the pin so I am hesitant to remove this plate ... plus not sure if these are bolts with nuts built in to the deck, Bolts with nuts that might have to be held with a wrench inside the cabin ceiling, or just plain old wood screws.
