Help with centerboard uphaul line replacement

I sail a 1996 H26. Presently, the centerboard uphaul line is broken. I was planning to replace the line this weekend and I am looking for someone who has been through this before. My question is how is the best way (with the exception of hanging the boat by a crane) to replace the line? I was planning to dive under the boat and have someone drop the line in from the top. Is this the best way? After looking through the owner’s manual, it looks like this might not work real easy. Can anyone advise me? Do I need to do anything inside the cabin?Thanks,DeanChateau du Vent

Hang It

A dealer had to replace mine when it was new and had to hang it to get at the components. I think you might be stuck with this method.
