I just purchased a 1995 Hunter 336 with the binnacle mounted traveler. I'm not sure about the mainsheet setup. The one currently on the boat has two triple blocks, one on the boom end, and one with cam on the traveler. The seller said it originally came off a beach catamaran. The sheet can be operated from the wheel easily. When I looked in the manual for the boat, it shows the mainsheet running from blocks at the boom end and traveler, forward through the boom, down the mast, and then is led aft to the starboard triple cluch. This makes sense, but would seem to require that you leave the wheel to operate the mainsheet. Which setup is correct for this boat?
