I checked SBO, but couldn't find any screw-base LEDs. YMMV.

You need an adapter with a screw-in base that you'd plug an LED into.

I do it all the time, I go to the hardware store shopping for things that don't exist, but on my mind. I can understand you may want keep the old fixtures and perhaps you can keep them by just replacing the bulb sockets with some being currently in widespread use.

I replaced all of my bulbs with LED. My boat is a 1970 and the one in the head was a screw type. I may be able to help as I have access to a Marine equip warehouse.
What is the bulb style/number or any information, and I'll see if they stock them.

Just checked stock and they have a LUNASEA E26 SCREW BASE 12VDC/5W/380 LUMENS. Hope this helps.

The problem with non standard use bulbs is the cost. They do no sell enough so they have to amortize production costs and stocking costs on each bulb and prices of $30+ per bulb are quite common. Like I suggested I would rather replace the socket with one being widely used these days.

Be sure you dont get just 12v as they will burn out when charging. Mine are 10-30v. I would at least want them rated to 14.5v

I just ordered more from Marine Beam. I did find suitable replacement bulbs for my dome lights.
