Help Retaining Cap of Maxwell #21 AWOL

Hi everyone... Any idea where I might be able to find (I think it's the retaining cap) for my Maxwell 21? looked on eBay... not sure where else to look. Thanks! Jon

Hi Jon, Looks to me from your picture like you're missing the cap, not the retaining cap.

They were very helpful when I needed jaws for my ST24s. So far as I know they are the only ones in the world that still have Maxwell winches parts. Good luck Jon, Claude

Edit 1 Found this diagram for you. Kind of fuzzy but if you enlarge it you should see part numbers and names for the various parts.

Edit 2 Are you sure the winche is a 21 ? On my 34 they are Maxwell 20s on the cabin top !

Hunter must have bought whatever Maxwell had available at the time of construction of our boats !!! I know the only difference between the 24 and the 25 is the 25 has one more tooth which makes it a little more powerful. don't know about the 21.

Hey, I have a couple of these that I would let go cheap as I replaced my cabin tops with new ones. Even come with winchers

Thanks everyone.. Minney's Yacht Surplus thought they might have it and suggested to stop by. Told them i'd love to but I'm in Florida. They will look for it in their spare time otherwise Allen Hutton from Australian Yacht winch will sell me one for $35 + $35 for shipping from Australia.

Not bad, way cheaper than a new winch !
