Dig it man. Who KNOWS how many times someone asks about their Catalina/Ericson/McG, etc. problem, but absolutely zero information about length, year, NOTHING else about it. And when ya look at the owner profile, it just has the very bare minimum to sign up for the site. I for one just ignore these "requests", simply because if a man has no more interest in a proper profile, ie: won't take time FOR it, he's probably a halfassed mechanic anyway. I mean, it's not like you have to put your date of birth, social security number or whatever. I know that there are some idiot hackers out there, but I simply can't imagine a sailor trying to find out anything about you, that you've not posted in your profile.

Pictures would really help on a big portion of the "how to" questions. There have been so many owner changes to our older boats that a picture would help explain what the person is asking and working on.
