My duckbill valve on the vented loop began squirting a steady stream on the downstroke straight up to the headliner. I've never encountered this before so I stopped by WM and picked up a new duckbill. I installed the new one and it did the same thing. I thought this valve was supposed to close when pressurized and break suction when you finish dry pumping. HELP PLEASE! Cheers, Bob

You probably installed the duck-bill backwards

The duckbill part goes down into the fitting. The easiest way to do this is to put the valve in the fitting and then install the cap. If you put the valve into the cap first, you may scrunch it when you install the cap on the housing, and this may cause the valve to leak. In any event, it shouldn't squirt when under pressure (unless your line is plugged, and the excess pressure has to go somewhere) Steve Alchemist C-320

You guys are correct...

It's in upside down. I installed the new one exactly how the old one was removed. Apparently, the PO had installed it upside down as well. Thanks! Bob
