Our 22'Catalina has been sitting on our trailer for nearly 2 years. We drove to Simi Valley CA from Vancouver WA with no problems. Now as we are ready to put our boat into Lake Casitas in Ojai CA, we find that our brakes are "locked" on our trailer and we do not know how to "unlock" them. We do not have a trailer model or brand name, we purchased the trailer with our boat. Can anyone help us?

That's what I call a "sticky" situation...

I would jack up and block one side, and remove the wheel. Then take a look at what's going on. The caliper is probably frozen from not being actuated...there is probably some rust. Take some spray lubricant and sparingly squirt some on the caliper and try to work it loose. It might release. Failing that, I would call an onsite mechanic or tow truck and see if they can fix it enough to get it into the shop. Keith K. S/V Vesta
