You mean

If it is a 1983 Hunter and is 37 feet long then it is a cutter. Even if they removed the boom and mid-stay it is still a cutter. The mast is farther aft and consequently the main is small for an 18000# boat. If there is no mid-stay and, thus, no staysail then you need to make sure it has a good genoa. The original yankee(jib) won't balance the boat without the staysail. Chuck is right, go to "The Boats" forum, select H37C, and read the reviews. Also go to "Forum Archives" and search on H37C. Blisters were not a problem on my 1979. Did find some moisture in the cabin top and sides. This can be serious on boats that were neglected. Almost all had to replace their holding tanks, check to see that it was done correctly. Some of us have beefed up the rudder bearing supports. Otherwise there is not a better boat for the money. Just be sure to find a good surveyor. Go to Gene's site for the straight skinny: http://www.geocities.com/TheTropics/Cabana/7414/upgrades.html
