I'm with you, Tom

I think the shared forums are very important. Hopefully, re-naming them will make their purpose clear. Let's try these new names for a few days and see how it goes. I can see one drawback already - I'll be curious to see if anyone else notices.

Non-sense

I wonder if the questions asked of the non-Catalina owners imply that Catalina owners are supposed to butt out. I think the new wording makes what may have been murky water downright muddy. Now when I ask a question that would have been directed to "Ask All Sailors", it will now say "Ask A Non-ODay Owner", so I guess that means that the ODay owners aren't invited to the party!! Sheeeeesh! Phil, anyone who hasn't been around for awhile is going to be downright befuddled by that nomenclature. Suppose I'm a new visitor to the site. I am an ODay owner. I see a question that intrigues me, but it says "Ask A Non-ODay owner", so I say,"OK, I guess it's none of my business!!??" Or does it mean that ODay owners don't know anything about the topic??I just don't see the sense in language implying non-inclusion in these forums.

I agree with Thomas Ehmke

The negative approach is stand-offish in my opinion. Ken Palmer

How about

Ask Owners of All Makes When I want to ask a question of all sailors I also want to include those sailing on the same make as mine. Ask non Hunter Owners excludes some of the people I want to reach. Just another option. Thanks Phil for all your efforts. These are great sites for all owners.
