Help needed for nonfunctioning depth instrument

Hello All! The dial on my SR Mariner depth instrument goes crazy when I am on the move. Does anyone know how I can fix the problem? The wiring is easily accessible at the starboard hull beneath the seat in the cabin. She is already in the water, so I would have to put a plug in if I had to change something. Thanks again for all the "community" support! Fair winds!

SR Mariner is still alive and well, they may be able to tell you, and they repair/rebuild those for short money.

Not a problem

I had my depth guage rebuilt by SR Mariner at a very reasonable cost. I then rebuilt my knot meter with parts ordered from SR Mariner at an even more reasonable cost. I replaced my depth sending unit simply by pulling and replacing it quickly. Obviously I had water come in, but not more than a couple of gallons. You don't have to be really quick, just certain in your movements.
