The main hatch (not the forward one) is leaking. The leak is comming from the piece of wood that acts as a stopper so you can't pull it all the way out. I tighted it as much as possible, but it still leaks. I'm assuming there was a gasket that went bad. Since I'm not even sure if there is a gasket there, I don't want to screw it off and I don't have a replacement. I could probably just use some type of sealer but I can't really access it since the top hatch (the white half) is blocking it. To get it off, I would have to remove the wood and then I couldn't seal it. Any suggestions?

Removal is the key

Jef, you need to remove the two retainers that run fore and aft, holding in the acrylic slider so you can open the white part with the slider extended. Remove the handles and seal with 4200 or silicone. Water will eventually rot the teak if left untreated.
