My centerboard is stuck in the up position, making it quite difficult to sail. I've gone so far as to drill into the top of the CB trunk to pound it down, only to pop a hole in the CB. So now, when I do get it down, I've got fibergalss work to do. Any ideas? My boat is out of the water now, so it's easy to get to. I hope to avoid removing the CB to prevent leaks. thanks for your help...

stuck board

Mine was stuck in the "up" position after I launched on Mem Day. I had to dive under with a car tire wrench to pry it down. While you're still dry, attach a clamp wrench to the piece of the board you can see, and use leverage to pull it down. After that, You'll probably find expansion due to water infiltration. Drill and fill or get a new board. It will only keep geting stuck if you don't do something.
