Have found myself in the mainsail trimmer position on a 35s5 Beneteau. We raced this weekend came in 6th of 6th (Leukemia Cup Regatta). The owner just bought the boat. It has relatively new sails. Here is the problem or problems... First the boat wont point well. We are tacking 110 degrees on each tack. Other boats are killing us sailing at least 7-10 degrees higher toward the weather mark. The boat has a wing keel and even other wing keels are pointing higher. Second problem. I cannot get the top telltale on the main to fly straight back! It wants to hide behind the main. If i ease the sail i get a bubble on the luff of the mail and then the top telltale flys straight back. We had 10-12 knots of wind and the traveler for the most part was just a bit to windward. I played with the traveller, cunningham, the vang, the outhaul. MY NECK IS KILLING ME FROM LOOKING UP! Any advice...we sail in a informal race this weekend. Beau
