Help me identify these portlights?

Just got an H27 with 4 of 9 portlights replaced. I think they might be Bomars, but can't find a photo of the back side of a Bomar online to compare it to. If they are, it'll be a long time before I'm willing to shell out another $3600 to complete the job. (would rather put the $$ towards swapping out the 8hp thumper)..The asthetics of having 2 window formats looks.....imperfect though......
Thanks in advance for any help,

Stephen

best would be to start searching the salvage yards for replacements...... putting new will make you cry...... if you go original equipment ...but there is another option..... take all those out sell them and replace with matching plastic ones you might break even if you have time and patience on your side

Phil, Woody, and Claude,
Thank you for the help. I'd considered pulling those Bomars and replacing with whatever's available that's close to stock. Maybe even replacing all existing port lights while I was at it. Maybe, because it looks like some serious labor time. I was also wondering if they had to open the front holes up a little to accomodate the Bomars- yikes, if so then there's no easy path backwards to all stock.
As an aside, I was in some weather the other week, getting tossed around in the cabin and happened to whack my imponderably thick skull against one of the stock port's little cross shaped tightening knobs. The bigness and roundness of the knobs on the Bomar ports suddenly made a huge amount of sense to me!!!! (as I cussed over the engine noise)

I don't have the Passage series on my price list but we could probably offer those for ~25% less than the Bomar price. Still expensive, though.

Those Amazon ports look like toys. It's hard to tell from the photo but they look a lot less beefy than the Gray or Beckson ports. OTOH, it may just be the efficiencies of offshore production. We'll order one and check it out.

Bacon Sails in Annapolis has salvage stuff if you were willing to go root through their shed, but I agree with you that the money would be better off spent on other projects. (Both my fore hatch and cabin hatch finally got to the point this summer that they need replaced) Mismatched stuff like that bugs me too.
I have done maintenance on my Yanmar 1GM "thumper" and it runs pretty smoothly new with new motor mounts, cutless bearing, balanced prop, alignment among other things and I like the fact it only burns 1/3 gallon an hour, so I'm happy with it for the most part. The times I might want more horsepower, I'm not out anyways.
Welcome to the forum! :) Maybe someday I'll go bigger, but I like my H27, I singlehand a lot and it's a comfortable ride without being too much boat. (Would have to win the lottery first)

Thanks for your perspective. I assumed those old engines (I have the renault) were beyond much more than hoping they last yet another year. I feel hopeful now given the good outcome you had by tuning up the whole propulsion system, because at or near idle mine vibrates enough to loosen one's fillings. I believed that was the norm, being new to inboard boats.
Since my engine is leaky, smelly, and vibrates a lot I may pull it anyway and that would be a great opportunity to look at the items you mentioned. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I actually got a call from the guy who was working on the boat who asked if it always shook that bad. I didn't have any experience otherwise, so not knowing any better, I had used the boat for several years before that. It required extra work to get it all fixed, but should be easier to stay on top of it, now that I know better.
