These parts came with the O'Day 222 I bought used. Can anyone tell me what they are called, where they attach, and how much they might be worth? I'm sure they're to do with trailering any small boat, probably under the bowsprit. I'm looking to sell them.

Thanks!:)

Gary,
I wouldn't get rid of those just yet. That pipe with the roller attached to it is a mast crutch. The previous owner probably made that up with two pintles that fit into the gudgeons where your rudder goes. It's part of a mast stepping device. It's purpose is to hold the mast while you pin the Tabernacle in mast raising/lowering. That other pipe may be part of the Gin Pole that he made up. The Gin Pole is secured on the front of the mast near the goose neck fitting and provides the proper angle for raising/lowering the mast with the aid of the Jib halyard and a boom vang. Here's my Gin Pole set up. Check it out.

Hi Joe,
Thanks so much for the help! I'm actually selling them because I no longer own the boat. I also never trailered it so never needed to know what they were. You've been a great help though (love your boat!),

Be well always.
