Every year I take my work crew out for a week's cruise. Besides being fun, it's a small payback for the hours they give me each Spring and Fall to commission and de-commission.
I am located in Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. In past years we have gone to Block Island, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Cuttyhunk, Fall River Battleship Cove, Prudence Island, Newport, Jamestown, and Greenport, NY. We have repeated many of these destinations several times.
My crew is now asking me where we could go to this year. The constraints are 7-9 days max and to places where anchoring is available for our h40.5 that draws almost 5 feet. These guys like to walk around and see different things. Gift shops, restaurants and beaches are completely unnecessary. They have liked all of the above places that we have visited in the past, but they really would like a new place to visit. I should note that one of my crew is deaf so any attraction that relies on sound for enjoyment would be less desirable.
So to all of you in my neck of the woods, what can you suggest and what are the attractions at your suggested destination?
