Hmmmm....reading it closely, and ...

Yeah, I also guess that somebody is messing with us here. Is Kevin American or Mexican? The name is American, and if you really read the original post closely, some of the English sentences makes him sound like an American, yet other parts doesn’t, and sounds like it is faked. Kevin: If you are real, then good luck in getting your boat home. If you are not, then adios.

JC has it right.

This guy is full of it. The sentence structure and use of language demonstrate someone who knows how to speak English, but then there are the mis-spellings and other terms that try to pretend that he is not adept at speaking English. Whatever the case, he can use his computer and internet connection to do quite a bit of research. Quite a feat for a poor fisherman from Mexico. IF, the guy is legit, I hope he survives the trip.

who is real?

who is really real? I've never actually seen anybody here, although maybe some of us are real :) Real isn't the issue. Do we all think Don's stories are real? I know some aren't, but they serve a purpose, to start a conversation about something. That's what all this is about...sharing information. So what if the information is just fantacy...it still serves a purpose. I knew it was possibly fake but I didn't say anything. The question is, who has something to gain by posting crazy fake situations? The web site? Who wants to attract attention and spice up the web site?

Tony, My boat's OK. Not much more of a project boat than before. A boat opposite me on dock 7 broke free and ended up firm against my stern (OK folks, I AM talking boats here) and broke out my aft window. They were all going to be replaced anyway. The boat that shared my slip pulled off some rubrail, and had LOTS of scrub marks. All of the hatches held (I tied them down), all the lines held, overall she did OK. I'll have to have her towed because the steering is still not fixed, but that's not my problem. My real problem is finding a place to put her. I'm open to suggestions!
