I have been rebuilding my project 1978 C30 for the last 2 years from fire damage and she's nearing completion. However my last step is rather hard and I need some help. The fire was located on the port side, aft between the galley and the big storage compartment where the shorepower comes in. The damage was pretty contained to an area of 12' or so. However when i received the boat they had a temporary "bulkhead" for lack of a better term in between the galley and the storage compartment in the aft port side that is accesed through the hatch in the cockpit. What i need is a picture or suggestions from anyone out there as to what goes in that spot?? I assume it should be sealed pretty well to keep the cabin seperated from the storage area outside. Any pictures or comments would be great, you can post here or e-mail me at Jayare627@hotmail.com. Thank you!

I have a '77 C30

If I uderstand yo correctly, your wondering what isolates the storage locker from the inside of the boat in the area of the rear 1/4 berth. On my '77 C30 it's a teak (venere) plank. That is to say, it's a piece of plywood that had a teak venere coving it which is screwed on. It's doesn't really have to be sealed, since it's not exposed to the outside. I can probably send you a picture in a couple of days when I go to the boat again. Let me know; AXEL276@OPTONLINE.NET.
