I inherited a 23' Oday pop top. I rebuilt the interior woodwork over the winter, added some new electric and electronics, got the outboard working beautifully. The rudder has a crack at the water line so Im making a new one. I have the mast up but I dont know how to rig the sails. There are also several lines that I dont understand. There is a metal braided line with a knob that secures into the track on the mast but I dont know if it goes above the boom or under it. Also, I dont know which line hoists the jib, or how to rig it so it winds back up. Does anyone live on Long island that can advise me or have pictures of which lines go where? Thanks, Its in the water and Id love to sail it before the summer ends. Bob OB.
