The gooseneck pin snapped on my boom the other day. Trying to find a direct replacement is a pain so far. As a temporary measure, I drilled out the buckle and added a threaded 3/8 stainless bolt securing it with a lock washer and nut. I was thinking of adding some sort of sheathing to create a snug fit when reattaching it to the boom. I have a couple questions, 1) does anyone know where to get the actual replacement part or a reasonable facsimile. 2) Can someone confirm that this is not a locking part? What I constructed looks pretty similar, but with the broken part of the pin inside the boom its hard to know what the end looks like. I plan on making permanent fix after the season, but was hoping to get through the remainder of the season as is. Thoughts anyone?
