I am just showing my helm seat I added to see over my chartplotter and relax and rest my back and legs on those long trips cruising and easy to remove out of the way,low $$$$$ to do.

I have all Photo's on my external hard drive and don't you know they are giving a problem but as soon as possible will post more photo's and info.
Most of the parts that you see I got at Wall Mart and the one hidden plate in between the seat fold down step is aluminum and found it at marine store,first plate was galvanized and rust so changed to aluminum.
More info soon and what I like is it is easy to remove and store all parts.

I have not found the photo's that show more how I did mine,my fold down seat comes apart 2 pieces and bolt the plate to the upper part of the seat that is the plate that holds the seat shaft and I added the size extension I wanted to raise the seat higher so I can see over my chartplotter.
I will keep looking more for wwhat I used.
The seat comes from Wall mart or most marine supply stores plus the the short shaft bolts to bottom of seat and added to the seat from Wal mart also,all parts so far from Wal Mart or marine supply store.
The plate with round hole with rubber bushing is the key part that supports the seat and mine is very strong so I can sit back hard against the back part of the seat.
Some one else has shown adding a seat at the helm seat recently and so you can do search.
