Hello Instructors and Sages. We're back in Washington for the fall, actually hiding out from hurricane season, and thought we'd drop a line. We've spent a year now on our 38' Island Packet and the lifestyle pace is wonderful. we've sailed the Gulf Coast, all of Florida and the Keys. It has taken this long just to learn the boat and all the other skills involved. Sailing by other than visual "flight rules" is much more demanding. What a ball! The friends you make cruising are wonderful. No one cares what you did in your other life, what your sailing or what your plans are. It's about what your doing now, its about learning new tricks and ideas and believe me you really learn a lot. For the first time in a year I'm short of time so I'll sign off and get back later. Just keep the dream, build the kitty and leave no later than 50 years old or by yesterday, which ever comes first. Ray & Maria S/V Scooter bigadventure@aol.com

And here's me telling Jim Seamans that I half expected you to turn up down under in Albany. Great to here that all is well and the IP is everything that you dreamed. I'll bet Maria enjoys the extra room. By the way Ray how do you get on navigating baackwards?? Look forward to seeing a few more posts. By the way I couldn't find you on the IP site??
