There's usually a caravan of trucks
that haul the debris to a field, awaiting a landfill somewhere. Bulldozers push the debris to the street and FEMA has special trucks that have fingers on the end of a boom and it places the debris in a 40 yard dump truck.I'm sure in Texas they are using bucket loaders to clear areas. With land fills filling up quickly, I would imagine there are people there separating the debris for recycling. It sure is a mess though. I'm just upset that we as taxpayers are footing the bill for reestablishment of areas that are proven unsafe for buildings. But then, money does have it's privileges.
