Here is a short YouTube video I made of how I do it on my C30. I have hove-to in all wind conditions from3-kts [with the Asymmetrical in my avatar just to prove it could be done] to +40kts with 2nd reef and 6-ft of the 140% roll out. Whatever sail your boat is comfortable with for the given conditions is the right combination for Hoving to.
