I think we have the same unit for heater bypass system.

Have you found a metal replacement for this plastic "T"?

When water heater is hot it leaks..... can't tighen anymore or use more teflon tape.

No Leaks

I have had no problems with the Camco Kit and fittings and any leaks. Have you tried duct tape? Actually, look at the threads, perhaps one is messed up. You may be able to find a brass T at a plumbing shop.

Re: No Leaks

I just installed the Camco Kit and have not noticed any leaks in that plastic T so far.

I did use brass fittings for the connections to the hoses, so I am sure you use a brass T in place of the plastic one.

Try a camper or RV store. I bought mine there. Brass fittings, reinforced hose, it cost $19.25. I also bought a bypass kit for the pressure pump. Again brass threeway valve, and hose $13.20. Allows you to flip the valve, put the hose in a jug of antifreeze and pump it through your system. I would post if I had photos, will try to take some this week when I am on vacation.
