In previous articles I had inquired for help in diagnosing my forward cabin heat pump problem. Thank you for those helpful comments. As it turns out the compressor failed. Dave from Sea Freeze Marine in Bellingham did a super job and the repaired unit heats and cools like a dream. Of course at cost $550 for parts ($250) plus labor. The first time he brought the unit out for install two weeks ago he had changed the plumbing to accommodate the new compresssor and larger evaporator. Well, the setee lid would not close because the tubing extended above the setee frame. Fortunately, I was watching over his shoulder and noticed it before he finished the install.Anyway, Patti and I sailed towards Suchia Island yesterday, our first time out together on Belle-Vie. Sunny and warm. She sails like a dream. It took Patti awhile to get used to her slower response (24,000 pounds) compared to our previous H28 (7,500 pounds). Terry
