Heat Exchanger Zinc

I need to replace my pencil zinc in my heat exchanger. I was trying to put a new zinc into the plug but the zinc broke and I can't get the stub out of the plug.

I have bought the zinc and the plug before. I can't remember the exact zinc to get.

I know that it took a 11/16" socket on my wrench. The rest I am not sure of.

I have the Universal M25 XP.

I hope West Marine Has one in the store....I don't like the fact that I don't have a zinc in there right now and want to replace this ASAP!

Don't worry about replacing the zinc in the head. These days they sell them both together. I think it's a size 00 or 01. I gave up three years ago trying to find just the zinc part. Buy three.

I use boatzincs.com. They are way cheaper than most and very easy to work with.

Pencil zincs, I use a 5/16 drill and re-tap with a 3/8-16 tap. It's very soft and easy to clean out.
