Twice in a little more than a year, the rod end, right at the endplate of the heat exchanger, has corroded through. The boat is bonded, the heat exchanger - to my knowledge and the little investigation i've done - does not have a zinc. It is a volvo penta 25 hp in a beneteau 37.5 1986

Has anyone else run into this and what was the solution.

you can contact me directly john koman, putting the first and last name together and then adding @msn.com

Also - if one knows the hows of joining and disjoing the copper tubing that goes into the heat exchanger and the other "holes" on the block, please tell me. I can do most of this work myself but I have not run into this insertable tubing and hesitate to start pulling things apart.
