Heat Exchander zinc

While checking my HE zinc last couple times I found them broken off from the screw in fitting and laying flat.
When I replaced the zinc this time, the HE end cap was off and discovered why they were breaking, the zincs where too long...........cut approx. 1/4 " off.

Where are you buying them?

I get mine at West Marine - have no idea what the brand is. They work fine.

Thats great to here ..........thought it was just us poor Australian cousins that had to cut there zincs :dance:

There are three different zincs made that'll fit our 3 inch HXs. Long ones and shorter fatter ones and shorter long ones. The last two will fit without having to cut them. Look around and buy a bunch when you find the right ones. Mine usually last 3 to 4 months, and I don't leave my boat plugged in.
