This is an OFFICIAL invitation for any interested Hunter owner join Tracy and me on Grasshopper II this summer on a cruise down Kentucky Lake. Who: This cruise is being promoted to the Catalina 22 National Sailing Association; however I would like to open it up to interested Hunter owners as well. When: July 31st thru August 6th Where: We plan on putting into the lake at Kenlake Marina (Mile Mark 42.2). We will sail south 'up' the lake to Pebble Island Marina (Mile Mark 94) and return to Kenlake. Itinerary: Sunday - July 31- Put in at Kenlake Marina Monday - August 1st - Sail south - destination is Paris Landing State Park (Mile Mark 66.2). Overnight at Paris Landing (or nearby on the hook) Tuesday - August 2nd - Continue to sail south - Anchor out on the lake Tuesday night Wednesday - August 3rd - Arrive at Pebble Island (Mile Marker 94) - For you historical buffs - there is a Civil War park within walking distance. We'll stay at the Marina (or nearby on the hook). Thursday - August 4th - Start back north - the destination will be Paris Landing State Park. Friday - August 5th - Contine north to Kenlake. There will be an 'End of Cruise' celebration at the Park Lodge Saturday - August 6th - Pull out and head home Note - This is a long cruise - as the crow flies it's over 100 miles. In reality we'll probably cover over 120 miles. I'll have marina slips almost every night - you can take advantage of these facilities as you see fit - stay there or anchor out on the lake Cost - Last year the cost per boat was less than $200 (not counting food). I would expect a similar amount for this year Timing - We have plenty of time ... I will need to nail down the final number of boats in the cruise by mid - June.
