Heart Attack - Sailing - AEDs

Greetings all,

How many of us (non-commercial) sailors have an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) onboard, and if you have one, where did you buy it?

This was a topic discussed earlier this year, I believe, and there were far more that do than I ever would have suspected. Perhaps do a search.

Thanks Scott! I had tried a search on "AED" with nothing relevant and have followed a "Heart Attack" thread for a while - thought a new topic just for this question made more sense that tacking it onto that older thread. if you remember what thread the info/inputs on AEDs was in, please paste it here and forgive my not seeing it.

We lost a member that was spending the night on his boat at the dock a couple of years ago. An AED likely wouldn't have done any good in that case but the club and marina went in on a unit that is kept at the service dock. We have number of medically trained people available.
