Tom, I have my old one somewhere around the house. If the weather breaks, I'll lay it out in the driveway and measure it this weekend. Are you a new owner? Dan

Headstay length - measured

Tom, Sorry for the delay - the weather hasn't been great, so I finally laid out the forestay in the house. The "pin to pin" measurement is 35' 5 1/4". This includes a 5 1/2" turnbuckle which could increase the length by 1 3/4", or shorten it by 2 5/8".(at its current adjustment) If my math is correct, this gives my stay a 36' 2 7/8" to 36' 8" range of length. Just a minor disclaimer. I have never had this stay mounted on the boat, but the previous owner claims to have used it. The length sounds about right given the dimensions of the rig. If you have any other questions, I'll watch this forum. You can also reach me at dtobin@yahoo.com Good Luck. Dan

CORRECTED LENGTH

Tom, I was re-reading my post and realized that I fat-fingered one of the measurements. The total pin-pin length is 36' 5 1/4". The other two measurements are correct. I also left a message with your sailing buddy, Al, on his e-mail account. Sorry for the confusion. Dan
