I have purchased a O25 w/ roller furling jib. My second O25, butfirst furling gear. I believe it is an older CDI unit. It has aninternal halyard in the luff that is very long when the sail israised. Just above the drum is a cleat port & starboard on thefurler, and at the base of furler there is an opening that allows aline to feed through. I assume the tack of the sail (which is fittedw/2 small lines) ties at the base and that the halyard somehow isattached to one or both of the jamcleats abouve the furler, but belowthe luff. There is a lot of extra halyard at this point with the jibraised, I am not sure what do with it? Any input on the arrangementsI described? Thanks.
