Great boat, start looking and buy one

My last boat was a 1995 hunter 336 which is the same boat as the 340. I do not know exactly what the headroom was but I am 6'2 tall a it seems like I had at least 3-4" inches to spare. That headroom went from the V berth to the aft cabin. I currently own a 1995 hunter 430 and it does not have much more headroom then that. I would highly recommend the 340 to you. We had very little trouble with it. It is very roomy for a boat her size and also has a large cockpit. The holding tank and water tank are huge for a boat her size. I have no regrets buying it.

Head room

I am 6'2" tall and have no problem getting around inside my 2000 H340. There is plenty of headroom throughout the main salon, head and even in the forward berth. The only time I hit my head is on the transom over the door to the forward berth. The headliner hangs down a bit over the toilet and I have to bend a little when standing to use the facility.
