Hi Peggy, Thanks for the reply to my message conerning replacement for my Jabsco electric marine toilet motor. I bought the boat last year, so I really don't know how old the electric toilet is. Since sending the original message, I called Jabsco, and the part number for the replacement motor for marine toiliet model 37010-0000 is 37401-0010. I called Defender and they indicated they can order the pump for me, the cost is $193.00 + shipping. I don't know the price for the SeaEra conversion kit. Now that you know the price of the motor, would you still suggest buying the SeaEra kit? Thanks, Okiman

Maybe...

'Cuz whilel you have the toilet base apart to replace the motor, you'd be VERY wise to put a service kit in it, especially since you don't know how old the toilet is, or if it's ever been serviced. Impellers, valves, gaskets etc do wear out, so why take it apart twice? Check the price for the kit, add that to the price of the motor...then weigh that against the price of a SeaEra conversion from Defender or Boatfix.com and decide for yourself. If the difference is less than $100, I'd go for the SeaEra...but it's your boat and your money.
