My boat has a removable headliner held in place by battens. Underneath the headliner is two layers of 1/8" ply nailed into the fiberglass of the cabin top. I cannot figure out why that ply is there. Any ideas?
Probably put there because they knew you would have to replace it one day.
Actually the 1/8" ply is probably supposed to support the fabric below it.
Not a fan of headliners.
