Heading East Slowly

Still heading east, and still not to Pensacola. Been really taking it easy. Isn't that the way it's supposed to be??? Trying to connect with friends on other boats who are in the area. Managed to meet up with the Talisman last night, and hoping to catch a couple others who are heading back west, in the next couple of days. Kloudie1 is heading north from Tampa first of the week, and maybe can meet up with him in Appalachicola. Then the offshore jump towards Tampa/St.Pete. Weather has been a little bit iffy, but not too bad. Lots of rain, but not a lot of winds. And of course, mostly on the nose.

I saw on your other thread that you're heading all the way down to the Dry Tortugas... how long are you planning on staying out?

I am thinking of maybe meeting up with and follow with my 36 Hunter what do you think.
What 's your time for reaching Charlotte Harbor and how much time will you be spending in Key West and than Dry tortugus and where next,I was suppose to go to NY in July with out the boat.
You are doing my dream trip and would love to tag along.

Dry Tortugus....that sounds like a good first stop for me. Have been seriously considering sailing on down to Grenada the first week of July (just put in my resignation for July 3rd) but worried it may be a little too late in the summer to do that without my ability to get weather faxed to me. Maybe I'll just go to Dry Tortugus and then come back and wait until late fall for Grenada.

Will keep you updated as we progress. Trying to meet up with as many as possible, and will delay a day or so to make it happen. Also am taking the easy way out, and staying put when the weather doesn't look favorable. Would think Charlotte Harbor would be around ten days from now, maybe a few less. Hoping to meet up with Kloudie1 in Appalachicola on Wed. and then head south. Want to spend a day or two in Tampa area. You are certainly more than welcome to join up and travel along with us. Will keep you posted, as we get closer.
