In my 2000 Hunter 340 on an extreme starboard tack heel I grabbed the handhold-panel that is attached to and part of the medicine chest in the head, and it moved out of place more than an inch. I can't tell what was holding this in place other than the caulking at the bottom of the panel. Has anyone taken this apart and understands how this is supposed to be held in place?

Ron: I had the same problem on my 340. The vanity is glued, but not screwed into place. I fixed the problem by pulling the vanity free, cleaning it and using a fast drying expoxy to fasten it. Then I used 3M sealant to seal the joint. So, far it's been fine. Frankly, given it's location and importance at critical times, Hunter should have a better fastening system. But, my fix seems to work. Good luck.

My crew too, has a standing order to SIT. I'm afraid that this was part of my upbringing, but it has a valid reason. High altitude bombing is not nearly as accurate as a low level attack. When you have to do the cleanup you begin to appreciate the logic. I employ the same strategy at home.
