CORKY TROTTER

What do people find as the best head treatment liquid? I have a marine head on my 260. Had great sailing in everything from 5 mph to 27mph this weekend at Lake Wilson, Kansas(just as a side note). Thanks Corky

Suggest you read

The articles in the Head Mistress forum reference library (link is on the forum homepage) to learn how to maintain your toilet and holding tank. The recommended holding tank products are Raritan K.O. or Odorlos--both non-chemical.

Our headmistress says

don't put in bleach or conditioners with oil in them. Use superlube to keep the pump operating smoothly (once per year). Rinse it out with fresh water(from your holding tank or a hose) and pump it completely dry. Make sure it's properly ventilated. If you aren't able to macerate or pump out regularly, she recommends using organic products that will stimulate aerobic bacterial decomposition. Working fine for me, and it's cheap. Hope I got this right Peggy. Scott S/V Hello Dolly

You got almost all of it right :)

Maceration and/or pumpout have nothing to do with whether anything is needed in the tank to prevent odor...a cupful left to sit in the summer heat can stink as much as a full tank.

Scott- You forgot

The chicken bones, incense, and voo-doo chants!

I dunno know about the chicken bones, but

voodo chants certainly can't hurt! :)

Bruce and Peggy:

Bruce, regarding the voodoo comment: Your team from Green Bay may require such treatment after the match-up in the Superdome next weekend! Peggy: I guess it's Odorlos or K.O. for me!
