Head System

This is our first season with our 1983 Pearson 303. We have yet to flush out the water/head system. What is the process? Is it basically just open the valve and fill the tank with water? I think the sink has antifreeze in the pipes....we're not that concerned with the sinks, mainly just the head...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The boat is 27 years old...it's unlikely that the toilet (or any other equipment) is still original. It'll need recommissioning--lubrication at the very least...most likely a rebuild kit too. Your fresh water system will also need recommissioning.

Before I can give you any explicit advice I'll need to know the make/model of your toilet...it's NOT Bemis...they only make bowls, for every mfr uses 'em...toilet brand name will be on the pump. If you can't find it, email a couple of photos of the PUMP (all bowls look alike) from the side and the top to me.
