Hunter 30 USA
Hi,

I want to replace some standing rigging this spring, especially the head-stay. Currently the head-stay is 7/32 and the upper and lower side-stays are 1/4. I have a roller furler and a smaller diameter head stay doesn't seem right. The furler is a Hood 810 and it can handle a larger gauge wire.

Does anyone have the original specifications for a 1990 Hunter 30?
Would anyone be willing to recommend a rigger?

I'm in the Midwest and expect to send the rigging somewhere for duplication.

I have a 1993 Hunter 30 and the original headstay, as well as the specification in the owners manual, is 7/32. I had mine replaced with another 7/32 when I had the furler replaced. My advice is loose the Hood for a Harken. There is a world of difference. For what it's worth, Mack Sails did the rigging, and I was very happy with the service and the quality of the work.
