Peggie,
I'm looking for the best way to set up a head on a 25' Lancer currently utilizing a porta potty. There are no factory holding tanks etc. on this boat. I've been thinking of enlarging the holding section of the porta potty to the limits of space allowed and then hooking up a deck pump out fitting and venting the tank. I thought 1/4 in. ply with a good layer of mat and glass inside and out. 6 to 8 gals. or so.
How about location and set up of plumbing? The venting is of particular concern to me. I would assume the pumpout fitting attached at lowest possible point. I'm not figuring on a o/b discharge thru hull, just pump out.
Or is there a better way?

Are you even aware of "MSD" portapotties?

That is, portapotties that are designed to be permanently installed, fitted for pumpout (Also vented)? Available in both 2-3 gallon sizes and 5-6 gallon sizes.

'Cuz if I understand correctly, what you want to do is re-invent an"MSD" portapotty.

Check out SeaLand 965 and 975 MSD models http://www.sealandtechnology.com/prodsmtoilet.asp

...and Thetford MSD portapots, including an "electric" version that uses AA batteries http://www.sealandtechnology.com/prodsmtoilet.asp

Peggie,
Thanks for the info. These products do seem to fit my needs.I didn't see any info as to the pricing, however. I'll check WM for prices, but if you know of better, I'd appreciate the help.
Thanks again.
