Changing sanitation hoses
Access to the sanitation hoses is tight. My recommendation would be to find a small friend or woman to climb in and do the work for you. Though I couldn't fit into the aft locker on our 1990 Hunter 28, my 5' 4" wife could (even though one would not have thought so looking at the openings). Once inside movement is tight. However, she was able to un-do all the hose fittings and work the existing hoses off. A little soapy water helps get the new hoses on. These boats came with aluminum holding tanks which should be wearing out about now. Be careful not to break off the in and out nozel when replacing the hoses. The only way to access the holding tank to replace it is by cutting an access pannel in the aft cabin and removing the fuel tank first so you can get to the holding tank. Definitely a job one wants to put off until absolutely necessary.Feel free to e-mail me with questions - Matthew Jenkins, cblights@earthlink.net
