Head Holding Tank in a 1986- 31' Hunter

We have changed the hoses and added double clamps, re-built the head, cleaned the entire head and tank area and bildge over and over again, we use KO as directed and we still get a constant blast of sewer ordor comming from the tank area!! Could our problem be the holding tank? It is a fiberglass one altough I cannot see any leaks in the connections or the bottom of the tank. Please advise.

If the odor is inside the boat, it can't be

coming from inside the tank unless the tank is leaking. In fact, it may not even have anything to do with your sanitation system. Trapped stagnant water can smell just like a sewer.Read two articles in the Head Mistress forum Reference Library (right side of the forum homepage): "Head Related Odors" and "Boat Odor Isn't All in Your Head."
