Public Notice to Whittaker Creek Yacht Harbor It was noticed April 20, 2008 that the Whittaker Creek Yacht Harbor PUBLIC fuel/pump out dock is in need of repair to preclude damage to vessels using said facility. After questioning with local marina personnel, damage to dock was done two years prior. Rows of nails and missing frontage on fuel dock have the capability to damage vessels. No signs are posted to make the public aware that a hazard exits. The damaged area is not marked. This notice will be forwarded and posted so the public is aware of the problem when using your facility. Thank You

Dock damage / deterioration

Thanks for the update. We have a similar problem here but this is on the main dock where all the sailboats are. Rotten boards, stray electrical voltage, rundown water and electrical connections, and StyroFoam blocks that leach millions of tiny pieces into the river each day. Marina management says they are addressing the problem but you would think that for $2,500.00 per year for a 40ft slip you would get something better than excuses for the past 7 years. This from the marina that bills itself as the best inland marina in the country. We would be willing to pay for improvements, but we are essentially being screwed for having our boats in a dump. A.
