Has anyone installed this depth sounder on an ODay hull? Can you install in a water filler tube?
I am a new boat owner so any advice is welcome.

I installed that sounder in my O'25. The hull under the v-berth, near the centreline, is only 1/4" as I recall, so your shoot-through-the-hull installation may work well.
That said, it's a whole lot easier to just hole-saw an opening and bed the transducer with marine silicone adhesive (LifeSeal, for instance). I've had good performance with my through-hull installation.

Are you still sailing through town out in Calgary, or have the floodwaters receded now?

Thanks for that comment re using the Hawkeye as designed and cutting a hole for the transducer. I am a little concerned about this as I have to launch on a concrete ramp each time I sail so hoped that using a pipe tp hold the transducer without exposing it to exterior damage seemed reasonable. I will let yo know how this works.

Well we are getting drier in Calgary but ne rainstorms are expected this weekend. But the Stampede will begin tomorrow "Through Hell or High Water"

I glued my puck down with silicone close, but not exactly on the center line about 3 ft forward of the transom. Works fine. Make sure you don't have any air bubbles.
