been busy since we got back from hawaii, but i would like to thank Al for
taking my wife and i out for a lovely sail.... when i first talked to Al, i
asked if he had called or listened to a weather forcast and he informed me
that this is hawaii, we don't check the weather, we just go sailing. he was
kind enough to come across the island and pick us up (i got to ride in the
back of the truck
) and we headed off to sail where the mountains come
down to the sea in paradise.... Chuck Rose met us at Al's house where his
boat is right in the back yard... we sailed along for a few hours the
pulled up and put the nose right on a sandbar.... we dropped 2 anchors (bow
and aft) and swam in perfect water for an hour or so.... The wind decided
to gust to over 40 knots so we decided to just motor on back to the dock....
The sail was the highlight of our trip out to hawaii and was great to spend
some time with Al and his family...

oh.. i volunteered to pay for gas and food but this kind man wouldn't think
of taking a dime.. ( i owe you one Al.. come to Virginia and i will arrange
the cruise...)
