Funny You Should Ask
I'm trying to sell a like new tri radial, poleless crusing spinnaker. My sailmaker tells me a new one like mine is worth about $3200. bucks and to contact a used sail broker. I figured I would sell it for $1000. and give somebody a good deal. I contacted a broker who said he would be happy to accept my listing but would have to sell it for at least$1500 to $1700 to cover his commission for me to net the thousand. So to answer your question, the commission rate brokers charge at least this one is quite steep, so you paying for the price of the sail and their fee.Their fee covers nothing more [no warranty] than if you bought the sail directly from the seller. My advice is try to find a seller on your own and save some money ! Fred Miller S/V M Squared
