Trying to see what options are available to have an independent hauler move my H260 about 1,500 miles on a trailer. Can anyone give me an idea of what I should expect to pay per mile or otherwise? The boat is on its trailer (in good condition). Are there small independents that do this? How would I find someone in the midwest area?

You might contact "The Anchorage" near Denver at 303-823-6601, ask for Steve. He may be interested or at least know of someone else in the midwest area since he does a lot of sailboat business in this region.

Moving a Hunter 260

We tried to do that but commercial movers are very expensive. We rented a U-Haul and towed our new 260 from Florida to Las Vegas. Took four days, had a blast. Cost about $2,000 - rental, food, and gas. We stayed in the boat each night. U-Haul was the only company we found who would allow towing.

If U Haul does not work out, do you have any friends (in construction, etc) who would rent you a 3/4 or one ton pick up? Take it yourself.
